The Western Wrestling team traveled to York on Saturday to compete in the York Open The lone medal winner for the Mustangs was Kevin Marshall who placed 2nd in the 100kg division. Former Western Mustang wrestler and current assistant coach Steven Takahashi won the Commonwealth Games Trials at Simon Fraser University in Burnaby, B.C. on Friday. Steven Takahashi named to World Team

Steven Takahashi has been named to the 2017 Senior World Championship team that will compete in Paris, France from August 21-26.  Steven made the world team after winning the world team wrestle offs in Guelph earlier this summer.
