{"id":1641,"date":"2013-06-29T22:03:25","date_gmt":"2013-06-30T03:03:25","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.westernwrestling.ca\/?p=1641"},"modified":"2013-06-29T22:03:25","modified_gmt":"2013-06-30T03:03:25","slug":"golden-canada-cup","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/westernwrestling.ca\/golden-canada-cup\/","title":{"rendered":"Golden Canada Cup"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3>Canada Cup, June 29, 2013 (Guelph, ON)<\/h3>\n<p>Four team members won gold at the Canada Cup capping off its most successful performance at the Championships.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>1st \u00a0Steven Takahashi<\/strong>\u00a055\u00a0kg<\/li>\n<li><strong>1st \u00a0Riley Otto<\/strong> 96\u00a0kg<\/li>\n<li><strong>1st \u00a0Brianne Barry<\/strong> 55 kg FW<\/li>\n<li><strong>1st \u00a0Larissa D&#8217;Alleva<\/strong> 63 kg FW<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/farm8.staticflickr.com\/7290\/9184546382_3f2957774d.jpg\" \/><strong>Steven Takahashi<\/strong> scores vs. Jason Buckle in the 55 kg final. \u00a0Takahashi won the match 11-7 in an exciting final.<\/p>\n<p>Earning a bronze medal was <strong>Madi Parks<\/strong> (48 kg FW).\u00a0 Top six place finishers were, <strong>Val Ouellette<\/strong> 6th at 48 kg FW, <strong>Alyssa Medeiros<\/strong> 6that \u00a055 kg FW, <strong>Joe Dashou<\/strong> 4th at 60 kg, and <strong>Kyle Bonk<\/strong> 4th at\u00a096 kg.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/farm4.staticflickr.com\/3719\/9184481286_45f1e15841.jpg\" \/><strong>Brianne Barry<\/strong> won gold in the 55 kg final defeating Sam Stewart (Black Bears, NB). \u00a0Carlene Sluberski (Brock) placed 3rd.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u00a0<img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/farm3.staticflickr.com\/2807\/9184657206_e4a3f6c6b3.jpg\" \/><\/em><strong>Joe Dashou<\/strong> has a leg-up on Aso Palani (BC) who eventually won the match and the weight class.
