Barry honoured with Purple Blanket

Athlete Awards Banquet, 2012-13 Western Mustangs (April 9, 2013)

Brianne Barry was honoured with a Purple Blanket, a prestigious award by the Athletic Department “to student-athletes, who, in the opinion of the Selection Committee, achieved superior distinction at the Provincial/National level of competition as representatives of Western,” normally awarded to those who are graduating.

Brianne is a U24 National team member and has 4 OUA championship titles and 3 CIS medals.  She recently placed 2nd in the National Open and has competed extensively for Canada at the international level.
