Mrkoci re-elected to top Commonwealth post
GLASGOW, SCOTLAND
Past Mustang & London-Western Coach, Josip Mrkoci was re–elected to a 4-year term as Chair of the Commonwealth Wrestling Association which he co-founded in 1984 and has held its top position since its formation.
Clive Llewellyn was elected as Vice-Chair for a 4 year term. Clive is past President of Wrestling Canada and is currently a member of FILA’s Legal Department, and currently practices law in Calagary, AB. Clive is a past mustang and London-Western team member who was a 2 time Olympian (1976, ’80).
The Commonwealth Wrestling Association (CWA) General Assemby meeting was held on July 30, 2014 with 18 participating countries.
The 2018 Commonwealth Games will be held in Gold Coast, Australia where the next term of Executive positions will be determined. Since 1985, the Commonwealth Wrestling Association Championships for Senior Wrestlers have been held on bi-Annual basis for Greco-Roman Wrestling Style and Men’s and Women’s Freestyle.
