Sadiku and Gardner Medal at York Open

York Open (Toronto) December 6, 2014

London-Western wrestler, Ligrit Sadiku won gold, while mustang teammate, Jesse Gardner won silver at the York Open.  Ligrit won 4 matches in the 54 kg weight class.  Jesse won 2 matches before losing the final vs. C. Service of the  Montreal WC.

Mustangs, Elhame Gashi (48 kg), Nick Xiang (61 kg) and London-Western team member, Michalia Walls (63 kg) placed 5th overall.  Mustang, Lauchlin MacDonald (65 kg) was winning his first match and was injured with a lower body injury and was forced to withdraw.

The mustangs are off until the new year but will host a mini-camp Dec 29, 30 before commencing in the new year with the Brock Open (St. Catharines) Jan 10/15.
