Barry Outstanding Wrestler, 3 Gold, 2 silver at CIS Championships

CIS Wrestling Championships, Fredericton, February 28, March 1, 2014

Brianne Barry was named the Outstanding Female wrestler at the CIS National Championships.  Brianne defeated former mustang, Liz Sera in the 55 kg final, and led the women’s team to an overall 3rd place team finish.

Madi Parks took silver at 48 kg, as did, Larissa D’Alleva at 63 kg.

The men’s team placed 5th overall and had two individual gold medallists in Josh Proctor (72 kg) and Riley Otto (90 kg).  Teammates, Alec Bauer (76 kg), Caleb Rutner (68 kg) and Kevin Ens (120 kg) all placed 4th.

Anna McKee (59 kg) placed 5th while teammates, Valerie Ouellette (51 kg) placed 6th and Christine Schmidt (72 kg) placed 7th.
