Mustangs medal at Guelph Open

Guelph Open, January 17, 2015 (Guelph, ON)

Three mustangs won medals at the Guelph Open with Julie Steffler taking the silver at 55 kg (FW), Madi Parks 3rd at 53 kg, and Riley Otto 3rd 86 kg.

Madi  had an outstanding win for the bronze defeating Sam Stewart (Black Bears N.B.) by pin.  Parks won went 4-1 on the day in the 53 kg division.

Julie Steffler (3-1 win-loss) pinned Liisa Wainman (BRO) and won 10-5 vs. Cierra Carere (GUE) to secure the silver at 55 kg .  Steffler lost to former mustang Liz Sera (Montreal) who placed 1^st.

Riley (4-1 win-loss) defeated Alex Brown (Black Bears) in the bronze medal match by a pin.

Larissa D’Alleva placed 5th at 63 kg with a 2-2 win-loss record.
