Mustangs open at McMaster and SFU

The Western Mustangs opened their competitive season at the McMaster Invitational and SFU International and brought back gold medals in both events.

Steven Takahashi placed first at SFU, along with teammate, Madi Parks who took silver at 53 kg in the women’s division.  Teammate, Riley Otto 86 kg won his first two matches but withdrew due to injury.

Ingmar Salvador-Guzman placed 1st at McMaster in the 82 kg division.  Teammate Caleb Rutner placed 3rd at 68 kg, and London-Western teammate, Ligrit Sadiku placed 3rd at 54 kg.
