2 Golds at McMaster Invitational
Hamilton, ON. The Mustangs Wrestling team began their regular season in Hamilton at the McMaster Invitational on Saturday. The Mustangs won one Gold, two Bronze and picked up 8 top 6 finishes. Michalia Walls won gold in the Women’s 63kg division winning her 2 matches without getting a point scored on her. Third year Mustang Bradyen Ambo, 82kg, won a Bronze medal on Saturday with a record of 4 wins and 1 loss. This season Ambo is looking to improve on his 4th place finish from last year’s USports National Championships. Second year wrestler Anthony Parker won a Bronze medal at 120kg. A number of first year wrestlers made their Mustang debut. Hassan Al-Hayawi was the best placed rookie finishing 5th in the 65kg division. London-Western Wrestling Club member Adam MacFadyen won gold at 65kg with a perfect 3-0 record. Next up for the Mustangs is the Ryerson Open in Toronto November 11th.
