Mustangs place 2nd overall at the Ryerson Open

Mustangs Second overall at Ryerson Open with 8 Medals

Toronto – The Western Wrestling team competed at the Ryerson Open on Sunday. The Mustangs had a strong showing picking up 8 individual medals and placing 2nd overall as a team. The team was led by third year wrestler Brayden Ambo who picked up the Gold medal in the 82kg division. For the second weekend is a row, Michalia Walls (63kg) and Anthony Parker (120kg) picked up individual medals both placing second. A trio of rookies, Ella Doornaert 55kg, Hassan Al-Hayawi 65kg and Jennifier Nwamadi 82kg, all picked up bronze medals earning their first podium finish of their University careers. London-Western Wrestling Club member Adam MacFayden picked up his second medal of the season by placing 2nd in the 65kg division.

Next up for the Mustangs is the York Open on Saturday November 17th.
