Golden Canada Cup

Canada Cup, June 29, 2013 (Guelph, ON)

Four team members won gold at the Canada Cup capping off its most successful performance at the Championships.

• 1st  Steven Takahashi 55 kg
• 1st  Riley Otto 96 kg
• 1st  Brianne Barry 55 kg FW
• 1st  Larissa D’Alleva 63 kg FW

Earning a bronze medal was Madi Parks (48 kg FW).  Top six place finishers were, Val Ouellette 6th at 48 kg FW, Alyssa Medeiros 6that  55 kg FW, Joe Dashou 4th at 60 kg, and Kyle Bonk 4th at 96 kg.

Brianne Barry won gold in the 55 kg final defeating Sam Stewart (Black Bears, NB).  Carlene Sluberski (Brock) placed 3rd.

 Joe Dashou has a leg-up on Aso Palani (BC) who eventually won the match and the weight class. Joe had a solid performance winning 2 matches and placed 4th at 60 kg.
