Josip Mrkoci re-elected as Commonwealth Wrestling Chair

Josip Mrkoci was re-elected as Chair of the Commonwealth Amateur Wrestling Association in New Delhi during the Commonwealth Games (October 2010).  He will hold a four-year term.  Mrkoci is credited with establishing the Association (along with Sandy McNeil of Scotland) in 1985.  Over the past 25 years, Mrkoci has promoted wrestling in the Commonwealth and was instrumental in keeping a separate Commonwealth Wrestling Championships active which now includes greco-roman, freestyle and women’s wrestling.  Congratulations Josip!
