Rookies fare well at McMaster Invitational

McMaster Invitational Wrestling Tournament, Nov 5, 2011(Hamilton)

Women rookies, Andrea Wakelin (59 kg) and Cassie Leigh (48 kg) placed 2^nd and 3^rd respectively in their weight divisions, while Kevin Ens was the lone mustang to place in the men’s division.  Sara Pattenaude of the London-Western Wrestling Club placed 3^rd at 59 kg, while London-Western teammate, Brian Cowan won silver in the 54 kg division losing to brother Adam (BRO).  Ens, a second year Engineering student lost to former national team member Chris Cox (Team Triumph) in the 90 kg final.   Mustang teammate, Eric Jacobson, placed 5^th in the 82 kg division.  Visiting Australian wrestler, Justin Holland representing London-Western placed 5^th at 57 kg.

Other mustangs in top six were:  Monica Varallo (72 kg) 6^th and Elhame Gashi (51 kg) 4^th
