Three Mustangs take CIS medals

CIS Wrestling Championships, Edmonton AB (Feb 27, 28, 2015)

Three mustangs won CIS medals including gold medalist, Steven Takahashi who won his 4th CIS individual title.  Madi Parks won silver in the 53 kg women’s division, while teammate, Alyssa Medeiros won bronze in the 59 kg weight class.

The women’s team placed 5th overall, while the men’s team placed 8th in team standings.  Other mustangs placing were:

• 4th  Caleb Rutner 68 kg
• 4th  Richard Balfour 72 kg
• 5th  Alexa Momy 63 kg
• 6th  Kyle Bonk-Dann 100 kg
• 7th  Eric Renaud 54 kg
• 7th  Alec Bauer 76 kg
• 8th  Ethan Smith 65 kg
